FICCI, in partnership with the Center for International Trade & Security, University of Georgia, is organizing a National Seminar on Strategic Trade Regulations and Business Opportunities for The Indian Aerospace Industry on September 20, 2016 in Bangalore, India (Venue: The Ritz Carlton, 99, Residency Road).

To enhance value-added manufacturing, and support the Make in India campaign, New Delhi is pursuing membership in the four multilateral regimes – Nuclear Suppliers Group, Missile Technology Control Regime, Australia Group and Wassenaar Arrangement. These regimes regulate trade in dual-use products, services and technologies relating to nuclear, aerospace, chemical-biological, and advanced weapons systems, respectively.

Membership in these regimes will enable Indian entities (public and private) to access cutting-edge products, technologies and services, forge a range of partnerships (JVs, M&As, technology transfers, co-production), expand their market share and global footprint, and generate substantial employment in high-skill sectors. FICCI warmly welcomes this positive development, recognizing its substantial business implications.

The seminar will provide understanding of India’s policy framework and regulations, range of business opportunities and international partnerships, and practical strategies and tools to pursue them. FICCI strongly encourages Indian industry, Indian subsidiaries of foreign companies, as well as compliance and business development personnel from companies and organizations, to register and participate in this program.

The programme  sessions:

  • India’s updated dual-use trade regulations and licensing requirements
  • Business Opportunities in the Aerospace & Defense Sectors
  • Advantages of Robust Compliance Programs
