DeTect, Inc. announced the opening of its European Office to meet growing demand for its radar products in the United Kingdom (UK) and Europe Union (EU).

“Over the past three years, DeTect has experienced a significant increase in its overseas business, particularly for projects in western Europe, Asia and Africa and this new office will allow us to maintain the high level of customer support and response that has been a hallmark of DeTect’s success”, said Gary W. Andrews, DeTect’s CEO. In 2011, the Company saw its sales increase by 60% driven primarily by international orders. “Export orders have continued to increase despite the global recession”, said Mr. Andrews, adding, “while other American businesses have cut back, we elected to push forward, increase internal investment and subsequently have gained market share that will position us for even more growth as the economy rebounds at home and abroad.”

DeTect specializes in radar remote sensing technologies for aviation safety, security and surveillance, wind energy, industrial wildlife protection and meteorology and has delivered over 150 radar systems to customers in the US, Canada, the UK, Europe, the Middle East, Asia, Africa, China, India and New Zealand.
