Collins Aerospace Systems, a unit of Raytheon Technologies Corporation announced that the company is the first to receive NSA certification for the RT-2071(C) Secure CDL ISR (SCISR)  communications radio featuring a more robust radio encryption that transmits mission-critical data safely and securely. The Collins Aerospace SCISR radio was the first to meet security requirements by the NSA. The NSA certification ensures that the SCISR radio's advanced connectivity supports the newest government waveform and meets the highest levels of data link encryption. Designed to be interoperable with legacy and advanced waveforms, the SCISR radio also supports Joint All Domain Command and Control (JADC2) initiatives.

The SCISR communications radio is one of the most capable software-defined radio receiver-transmitters which can be configured for either ground or airborne use. The radio features a low-cost design and a lightweight wideband data link that can adapt to various types of applications. With a standard network interface and a built-in router, the SCISR radio is enabled to be net-ready, providing a tactical advantage in the modern battlespace.

"Along with secure and reliable communications, the SCISR's easy to use application interface frees up time and allows warfighters to remain focused on the mission when it matters most," states Ryan Bunge, vice president and general manager, Communications, Navigation, and Guidance, Collins Aerospace.
